I’m on a summer break from writing, yet, meanwhile I’m enjoying sharing some of my favorite writers on our Summer Blog Tour! I met beautiful-hearted Christine from Momcafe.com through blogging, and how she blesses me! She has a special ability to write deep, vulnerable, honest blogs that speak to a woman’s heart. Her compassionate way, and her love for God, glued us together as fast friends! Although we have never met (not yet anyway), we’ve discovered a special sisterhood through our writing, passion for truth, and our mutual yearning to live holy lives everyday.
Christine is a very special woman, and I’m blessed to share two of her wonderful blogs this week that remind us how, in all our imperfections, we are simply beautiful. I hope you’ll be moved by her words like I am!
Find Inspiration in Your Eyes

I decided I was too tired to shower off the humid grunge from the rainy long day of toting kids to camp and swim team and a birthday party and then spending the evening at my daughter’s swim meet. Instead, I washed my face and looked up into the mirror to do the usual self-critique: identifying all the wrinkles, break-outs, dark circles and greasy hair…reflected in the bright unforgiving mirror.
Then I caught my eyes.
I stared deep into them.
I had a moment…
My stare remained locked, as the color and the shape revealed what lived beyond them.
This is one of Christine’s most vulnerable, beautiful blogs about a husband’s love and acceptance. It will grip your heart! (Try to ignore the advertisments, it was a blog for Scarry Mommy blog that sometimes has ads within body of the blog.)
I Am Beautiful to Him.
On February 17, we celebrate our anniversary. Ah, the red rose Valentine’s Day wedding—14 years. To some, that’s nothing. To others, that’s something. To me?
Everyone knows that marriage is hard work. You and I have witnessed many marriages crumble over time, and we’ve seen other marriages shatter into sharp shards of brokenness under the weight of circumstances and the dissolve of unit…
