Living in the Light – Summer Blog Tour Week #4

I missed posting our Summer Blog Tour post last week due to computer problems. But we’re back! As many of you know, I’ve taken a summer writing break, but sharing some of favorite bloggers with you.

Today meet Jennifer Dukes Lee. She is a light! I’m always encouraged and blessed by her writings, and her robust faith! She is a storyteller and a grace dweller, blogging about faith  since 2008.  I seem to be drawn to women who live on farms. Jennifer and her husband raise crops, pigs, cats and two children on their Iowa farm. She is author of Love Idol, and a journalist! I hope you enjoy her blog today on chasing the light!

Every once in a while, I leave the house before dawn with my camera. I stumble sleepily—sometimes still pajama’d and barefoot—out the back door toward my car.

The car’s headlights cut holes in the dark, heading me aimlessly east along country roads. I want to get there—wherever “there” is—before the sun bumps above the horizon. Gravel cracks under my tires and the landscape yawns before me. Thick, dreamy mist squats in valleys, like silk.

Then I stop the car. I wait.

I’ve become a chaser of the light.
